Job Description:

The College of St. Joseph the Worker is a Catholic institute of higher learning within the diocese of Steubenville that simultaneously trains students in the Catholic intellectual tradition, as well as in the skilled trades. We are looking for a student to be the Shop Hand in our workshop. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment:

• Sweep and vacuum main shop space

• Empty dust collection, as needed

• Adjust tools back to default settings, as needed

• Assist in organization of tools and materials 

• Become comfortable using and adjusting the tools in the shop

• Report any unsafe conditions or operations to Workshop Lead or VP Operations

• Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times.

• Call 911 in emergencies

• Know locations of First Aid Kits and Fire Extinguishers and how to utilize them

• Report and document any injuries that may occur.

Estimated hours/schedule: 

• Quarter 1

• One student working a flexible 6 hours/week

• Quarter 2

• Multiple students working scheduled 5-hour shifts (4:30–9:30 pm/M–F)
