Board of Directors
Mike Sullivan
President, College of St. Joseph the Worker
Mike Sullivan has directed multiple Catholic apostolates including Emmaus Road Publishing and is the master craftsman running an esteemed local construction business. Known for his expertise across all trades, he will guide students for the first half of their time at the college, preparing them for their apprenticeships and leveraging his network of craftsmen to help place students all over the country. He also holds a Master’s degree in Theology. He and his wife, Gwen, have a small farm where they have raised animals, vegetables, and eleven children.
Jacob Imam
Founder, VP of Finance, College of St. Joseph the Worker
Jacob Imam was born into a Muslim home, and converted to Catholicism under the guidance of his godfather, Walter Hooper (C. S. Lewis’s personal secretary). He graduated from the University of Oxford as a Marshall scholar with his masters and doctorate, writing his dissertation on theology and economics. As a popular speaker and writer on politics and economics, he has appeared on Pints with Aquinas, Fox News, and other media outlets. He and his wife, Alice, have three young children.
Andrew Willard Jones
Academic Dean, College of St. Joseph the Worker
Andrew Willard Jones is a leading political theologian and historian. His books Before Church and State: A Study of Social Order in St. Louis IX’s Sacramental Kingdom and The Two Cities: A History of Christian Politics as well as his many articles have broken new ground in Catholic political thought. He has held positions at various universities and colleges and has over fifteen years of teaching experience. He holds a PhD from St. Louis University and he and his wife Sara are busy raising their ten children.
Tim Clemente
Owner, X-G Productions
A former carpenter, Tim left woodworking for law enforcement, serving as an FBI agent and later as a DOD operative fighting terrorists in Iraq. He is now a screenwriter in Hollywood. He lives in Montana with his wife Karen. They have nine children and a constantly growing number of grandchildren.
D. C. Schindler
Professor of Metaphysics and Anthropology, Pontifical John Paul II Institute
D. C. Schindler, Professor of Metaphysics and Anthropology at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and the Family at The Catholic University of America in Washington DC, studied the Great Books at Notre Dame and theology at the JPII Institute, and earned a PhD in philosophy at The Catholic University of America. He is the author of many books, including Freedom from Reality: The Diabolical Character of Modern Liberty (Notre Dame, 2017) and The Politics of the Real: The Church between Liberalism and Integralism (New Polity, 2021), a translator of German and French, and a collaborating editor of Communio: International Catholic Review. Professor Schindler lives in Hyattsville, Maryland, with his wife and three children.
Pierce Shivers
Staff Attorney, Kalispel Tribe of Indians
Pierce is a husband, father, and attorney located in Eastern Washington. Pierce began his career in higher education administration focusing on admissions, student success, and development. Currently, Pierce serves as in-house counsel for a federally recognized Indian tribe where he advises tribal government and enterprises in diverse areas of practice including employment, human resources, and risk management. Pierce enjoys developing his family homestead alongside his wife and their three children.
